Daily writing prompt
What are you most worried about for the future?

I am not at all worried about my future, actually. To worry is so unnecessary, despite it seeming so inevitable in the trying times that we live in.

The funny thing is, times have ALWAYS been trying. Everybody who has ever lived and died, has likely thought that they were witnessing the world around them ending. It comes down to people in power versus people who are not and this is how it has always been.

There is a third group of people as well, which is everybody in the middle. Most people. The people in power prey on these people, whose lives aren’t horrible… but they aren’t grand either. These people in the middle are comfortable and easily manipulated by what the tv tells them, by what politicians and ministers in church tell them. They do not believe in themselves enough to make a difference in this world, so they believe in god and sit happily with their little families for dinner every night.

This is rather harsh, but I think these people in the middle need to hear it. Because you are NOT average. Nobody is. Everybody has the capacity to do wonderful, groundbreaking things in this world. It pains me that many people choose not to. They would rather be comfortable.

I am not worried for my future at all, since I have been able to see through this systematic bullshit. I do “worry” for the future of these middle people.
